Unwelcome Attention
(6 Jun 2002) Hannah and Agatha arrive in Caer Sidi. 		(Agatha) (The Key)
Hannah, Agatha, Ahearn and Bragwaine arrive in the city of Caer Sidi, in the middle of the cold desert of Annwn. They find that there is a severe shortage of water, and that the prices charged for drinkable water are exorbitant - though our heroines brought extra water at Bragwaine's recommendation (something the cat is very proud of). Hannah is approached by a child begging for water, and offers some of her own. This action attracts the attention of a mysterious man in black robes, who coldly praises Hannah's generosity, pats her on the cheek, then leaves. Shortly thereafter, Hannah, falls ill, and Agatha's suspicions are aroused. She seeks a physician, and finds the Sorcerer Pelles -- though much older than she expected him to be.

Pelles leads the group to the house of Oberia, where Hannah is tended to. Pelles tells Agatha the tale of the woes of Caer Sidi, but he is interrupted by the arrival of Ryland of Avarre, a crow messenger who warns that the Black Robes are pursuing Tom and his friends. (They are traveling north on a quest to try to help the cursed town.) Agatha sets out to try to aid her friends.
