The Unfinished Letter
(2 Jan 2002) Tom finds an unfinished letter meant to be delivered to Lady Redmane. 		(The Key) (Tom)
Thomas searches through the archives of Hawksmoor Keep, and finds a book in which is tucked an unfinished letter that he apparently wrote many Years ago, before his fateful journey into the West. The letter is to Knight Redmane, but is obviously undelivered. Hannah interrupts his reading, and they talk of recent matters, including whether or not Tom's decision to let the Bandit Queen go was right, and the matter of whether Hannah would be fit as a Golden Hawk. (To Hannah's delight, Tom is inclined to think that she is fit for the honor.) Thomas also finds a map that shows the lands to the West, bearing certain similarities to features of Sir Lefallon's quest ... and features of Ainigton, though enlarged a bit, and perhaps swapped around a little. Their discussion and exploration of the library is interrupted by the arrival of Lord November and his party.
