The Red Strand
(28 Jun 2001) After school, the "court" discusses strange happenings.
(Agatha) (Alice) (Rebecca) (Siege des Anges) (Simon)
(The Key) (Tom)
After school, Agatha, Rebecca, Thomas and Simon gather outside. Rebecca announces that the reason she was called to the principal's office is that she's been selected to take part in a student exchange program over the summer -- She'll be going to Ruritania, and a student from Ruritania will be coming to Ainington in her place.

Thomas, Agatha and Simon discuss their strange "daydreams", and Rebecca reveals that she had one as well -- She recites a cryptic "prophesy". Alice passes them all by, heading with determination to the statue of the angel, where she struggles to retrieve a red strand from the statue's hand. Agatha helps her up on her shoulders, and Alice retrieves the strand, which she claims is a strand of Lord Mel's mane. Agatha finds a cloven hoof print in the dirt, and Thomas finds some smudged dog prints. Tom insists that there's no such thing as a unicorn, but Agatha is having her doubts (about her own sanity, perhaps).
