Simon's Quest
(18 Oct 2001) Tom fetches "Sir Lefallon" to take him on a quest for the Holy Grail.
(Agatha) (The Trials of Anwynn) (Baum Woods) (Simon)
(Tom)
Tom visits Simon's house, where Simon has been preparing his "equipment" to quest for the Holy Grail. They sneak out the window, and head off to Baum Woods, where they are in character as "ex-Lord-Explorer Thomas" and "Sir Lefallon". They encounter a scene where the Bandit Queen is struggling with a peasant girl. Thomas indicates that he is forbidden to interfere, and thus it is up to Simon to save the girl. He fights with the Bandit Queen, after she refuses his demands, and at last disarms her. When she is at his mercy, she finally agrees to his terms, and the peasant girl, "Maeve", is grateful for the rescue.

Next, Sir Lefallon travels onward, where he encounters an old man named "Nicodemus". The man is hard of hearing and nearly blind, it seems, and given to rambling, but Sir Lefallon patiently listens and asks questions as appropriate, until Nicodemus reveals that he was testing Sir Lefallon's patience -- and that Sir Lefallon passed. With that, he offers Sir Lefallon some invaluable clues to cross a perilous bridge -- which Sir Lefallon does with little difficulty.
