Quest of the Dragon's Lair

Simon, Thomas and Alice encounter Agatha, a red-haired girl playing at being a knight. They are quick to play along, Alice suggesting that Agatha prove her mettle through a quest. Thomas and Simon oblige, by fabricating a "dragon" (Thomas wearing a cup on his mouth and a towel over his shoulders for "wings"), while Alice collects some of her play jewelry for a "treasure hoard" and they head to a cave outside of town. Alice plays the part of the damsel in distress, Agatha the brave knight, Simon the squire, and Thomas the dragon. Agatha bravely "slays" the dragon, but Alice -- startled by an animal noise in the cave -- falls down the hill. Just when it seems that the still-unseen animal is approaching Alice, a black horse appears out of the woods, startling the creature, and only barely glimpsed by Agatha as it disappears once more amongst the trees. Agatha takes Alice to the nearby Danzwyck Stables, while Simon and Thomas explore the cave in search of Alice's dropped doll, Lord Mel. Alice insists that Lord Mel himself came to her rescue.
