Photographs of Mirari
(27 Nov 2001) Sorceress Nymuae, Agatha and Alice look over some recently developed photographs.

In Sorceress Nymuae's residence, Agatha and Alice retire for the night, then get up the next morning to a bountiful breakfast. They look over more photographs, a mural of photos taken from atop Sherman Tower of Ainigton ... which now show up superimposed with images representing parts of Mirari. They also see that the Scare-Crow, while it appears very fearsome and demonic when viewed from the front ... seems hollow and fake when viewed from the side, like some sort of mask. Souhait shows up as a marvelous fey horse (and something of a ham for the camera). And especially troubling to Nymuae is that Anastasia's bedroom looks like a princess's chamber, with various objects within it transformed to show a deeper meaning ... as if the "soul" of Mirari exists in Ainigton, as Alice puts it.

Agatha shows Nymuae some of the objects she brought from Ainigton for the trip, explaining that she acquired these pieces of junk while play-acting in the junkyard. To her surprise, she finds that she has a real lance and a real sword, rather than just pieces of junk she pretended were such items. Nymuae indicates that this is because these were indeed Agatha's weapons, magically enchanted to appear as junk in the other world, but that Agatha, through her searching, was nonetheless able to find them.

They are interrupted by a visit from representatives of House October, as Lord October wishes to know about these two strangers Nymuae has brought. Nymuae, reluctantly, agrees to meet with them.
