Tom visits his grandmother again, and asks her more about the games that she played as a child, with the fantasy world of Mirari. He learns about Ryan Jordan, the boy who played the first King of Mirari, and how the precedent was set that each king would rule for a year. He also learns about the original realm of the Destroyer, and a number of other facts about the first gang of kids who played in "Mirari". And, he takes the time to talk with his grandmother about how his summer has been going, back in the real world....
