Gathering Up the Court
Saturday (30 Aug 2001) Tom, Alice, Elinor and Simon link up to do some investigating.
(Agatha) (Alice) (Elinor) (Simon) (The Key)
(Tom)
Tom heads out to go exploring, and runs into Alice, who was bringing him some cookies to apologize for earlier comments. He in turn apologizes for discounting her theories of "magic" out of hand ... and his cat, Shadow, seems intent on begging for cookies and attention. When they start to move along (not giving Shadow a cookie), the cat tags along, mewling, and Alice at last picks him up and carries him. They stop by and pick up Elinor, and find that Elinor and cats don't get along very well. (Shadow hisses angrily at Elinor, and Elinor confesses that she doesn't care much for cats, either -- She prefers birds, and cats eat birds.) At last, they head by the Lefallon residence, where they are bruskly informed that Simon is grounded, but at Elinor's insistence, they sneak Simon out, and then move on to find Agatha.
