A week after the challenge, Thomas, Simon, Rebecca, Alice and Agatha return to Mirari, where they are honored by King Marc and Queen Seraph. Thomas is granted the flying boat that bore the heroes back to the Palace of All Seasons; it has been enchanted so that it will always fly, and it has been renamed "The Wanderer." Agatha is granted a county of her own - along with it granting her the title of Countess Redmane. Alice is granted Kuon as a personal protector. Rebecca is informed that a trust fund has been set up on her behalf in Ainigton, to help her attend whatever college she wishes. Simon is granted the opportunity to serve as a page in House April. Sir Lefallon is promoted to a knight of the King's Guard. Rachel is granted the title of ambassador to Ainigton. And Hannah is made an official member of the Golden Hawks. The kids confer amongst themselves, and then present the Book of Rules to King Marc and Queen Seraph, recommending that it be protected by Lord Melchizedek - so that once the Rules are settled upon, the book will no longer be changed again - even by those with good intentions.
