Ahearn, King of Horses

Agatha and Hannah journey toward Icejaw Pit, but take a detour when they notice tracks of a herd of horses turning to the north. They encounter Ahearn, King of the Horses, who tests Agatha, and determines that she is not fae, and therefore not Redmane of legend. Nonetheless, since Agatha's quest will take her to the Destroyer, and since Hannah vouches for her, Ahearn agrees nonetheless to tell the tale of his parting with Redmane. He indicates that they parted ways after an uncharacteristic argument, and when Ahearn recovered over his anger and decided to return to find Agatha, he thought he encountered her, but was tricked by a creature (either what she had become, or what had assumed her form) and pushed into a pool that enveloped him and apparently held him in a suspended state for 13 Years -- until he was led back to the world by a ghostly horse-like creature limned as if by flame. As Redmane and Hannah explain more of their quest, Ahearn agrees to go with them to help fight the Destroyer.
