In Rephidimite lore (and shared by many surface cultures), the Ark is a name given to an ancient vessel that, in the time of the Expedition, is believed to have brought people to Sinai from the heavens. Exactly <i>who</i> was brought by the Ark, and who was already on Sinai at the time, however, is unclear, and a subject of much speculation and debate.
