 Ariel is the planet closest to the sun in the solar system of which Sinai is a part, and appears to be white and ghostly (with the help of rare telescopic equipment). It is associated with the realm of Spirit and is hence of special importance to the Sphere of Spirit of the College Esoterica. Although there is a Gateway Tower that provides access to Ariel, it is still largely unexplored, and considered to be fairly inhospitable.  Ariel is also the name of a goddess of the Olympian Pantheon, appropriately associated with the spirit world. She is depicted as a young, pre-teen, white-furred Kattha with black hair. She is regarded as the "trickster goddess" of the Olympia mythos, though of a more benevolent nature than most. She is also cast in the role of Messenger of the Gods, and is often sought in the hopes of conveying messages to (or from) spirits in the afterlife.
